First Time at the Elementary School!!

5/26/2019

It’s day 2 here for PUC Thailand 138, and we are still enjoying the beauties and tasty fruits of rural Thailand! After waking up for an early 7 am breakfast, the pastors took us on a tour of the church grounds. Here, we got to see the church, the guest house, and the project from PUC Thailand 2017 that provided clean water for the church and surrounding community. After the tour, we headed out to check on the progress the contractors had made on both the other Thailand team’s and our project. At the first school, we enjoyed picking the fresh mango and tamarind from the trees. After, we made the hour drive to our project at Ban Huai Yang Elementary School. The progress that the contractors have made pre-arrival was amazing, and we cannot wait to begin our work on Monday! We also had the opportunity to meet two of the school’s dedicated teachers, who were both very welcoming. We finished off the day by heading to HomePro to begin looking at materials and eating Texas Hot Pot for dinner! We’re so beyond excited to meet the community soon!!

Both teams went to Ban Huai Yang Elementary School to check out the progress made from our design for pre-arrival!
